Frequently asked questions
Clear terms. No inflated claims.
Concise answers about the studio, its current products, and the boundaries of what those products are.
01What does Unreal-native mean at Nordicode Studio?
It means core authoring is designed to stay close to the Unreal Editor, with source, output, diagnostics, layers, and behavior connections kept inspectable in the production context where they matter.
02Are Nordicode tools standalone applications?
No. The current product direction is Unreal-native tooling that keeps authoring and iteration inside Unreal Engine.
03What is NUI Framework?
NUI Framework is an Unreal-native, source-authored UI authoring framework built around NUIWBP assets, NUI Script V2, compile-and-preview inside Unreal, diagnostics, and Event Graph behavior connection.
04Is NUI a web, browser, or React-based runtime?
No. NUI is source-authored UI for Unreal Engine. It is not React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, a browser UI, a WebView, or a web runtime.
05What is Terrain Tools?
Nordicode Terrain Tools is a planned Unreal-native terrain authoring toolset focused on viewport brush workflows, native layer/edit output, terrain shaping, masks, and worldbuilding support.
06Is Terrain Tools production-ready?
No. Terrain Tools is currently a product vision in planning. The roadmap describes intended direction rather than shipped capability, with Unreal Engine 5.8+ as a target direction rather than finalized support.
Read the Terrain Tools roadmap07Does Terrain Tools replace Unreal Landscape?
